RentPayment payments made on weekends or banking holidays are processed on the next business day.
Banks do not process transactions on weekends or federal banking holidays. If you submit a payment during one of these times, your payment will be held and processed when banks reopen.
What this means for your payment
- Payments made on a banking holiday are processed on the next business day
- Payments made over the weekend, including weekends right before a holiday, are also processed on the next business day
- Your payment is not lost or canceled—processing is simply delayed because banks are closed
- Processing may take longer during holiday periods, so plan ahead if timing is important
Example
If you submit a RentPayment payment on Saturday before a Monday holiday, the payment will begin processing on Tuesday, when banks reopen.
